Terms
Last updated 3 October 2026. Plain words: the app is free, comes without guarantees, and is not financial advice.
The service
Finance helps you track spending, budgets, goals and net worth. It is run by Gonçalo Rodrigues as a free, personal project. It may change, be limited or stop; if it is going to stop, you will be told in advance by email so you can export your data.
Your account
- You log in with links sent to your email, so keep your email account secure. One account per person.
- You are responsible for what you enter, and for who you share a space with: people in a shared space can see and change its data.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
- Keep your passphrase and your recovery key safe. They are the only way to unlock your data, and nobody, including the person running the app, can recover it without them.
Fair use
Do not use the app to break the law, to attack it or other people's accounts, or to store data that is not about your own finances. To keep it free, there are limits, such as the size of uploads and the number of new accounts per day. Accounts that break these terms may be closed.
Not financial advice
Grades, tips and suggestions are worked out automatically from the numbers you enter. They are general information, not personal financial, tax or investment advice. Check important decisions with a qualified adviser.
No guarantees
The app is provided as it is. Care is taken to keep it working and your data safe, with nightly backups, but mistakes and outages can happen. As far as the law allows, the person running it is not liable for losses from using it. Nothing here limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.
Changes and law
If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be asked to accept them again when you next log in. Portuguese law applies. Questions: goncalo.gr@proton.me.
